Removing a Director's home address

How do i remove my home address from your website?

A director who is genuinely under threat can obtain an order of Court removing his/her residential address from the public record and we would certainly be receptive to an approach in those circumstances.

Until that time, we are under a duty to our clients to record faithfully on our databases, the information available from Companies House, which itself of course must by law continue to publish Directors' residential addresses. Disclosure has always been accepted as the price one pays for the privilege of limited liability and removal from our database would in any event have little impact on the availability of the address in the market.

You may be aware that the incoming regulations will permit a director to file service addresses, say the address of your firm, in place of a residential address without need of Court Order. If a company director was then to file their service address, this, as long as it’s not challenged, would be fed through to all the new service providers across the UK via Company House, as normal procedure from their daily updates.

Of course it is not for us to advise you and, nonetheless, the address will remain in numerous legacy products and other websites. (e.g. CD-ROM or DVD directories of company information which abound in the market) for months to come.
